Salam and greetings. It has been a while since I updated this humble space of mine. Busy attending to my other web ‘outlet’. I have to praise Allah Almighty for the current development of my life phase. Shukr so far it has been a gradual uphill climb. Things are looking good, better than 2 years ago. I told myself, I haven’t felt this ‘relieved ‘ before. Sometimes in life it is not the circumstances which let you down but it is us, our own very selfish self which pulls everything and everything else down.

TRUST , FAITH AND LOVE

If there is a will there is, should and will be away. I have woken up from my deep ignorant slumber just recently to the realization that there is nothing more powerful than the trust,faith and love that I give to myself and those dearest to me. To be loved, we have to love ourselves first. Then to those who we open our life too. I.e. Our family. And to my fellow readers, if you are a believer, above all, it is our Lord Almighty.

QUALITY

I am more confident of myself now that I seem to be able to maintain the grip on critical things pertaining to my life. Prioritizing what we should be thinking, doing ,saying and planning is vital. We can’t be doing so many things at a time. Quality of time is not interchangeable with the amount of time sent. A good 30mins chat with mom is better than weeks of being around the family but not being able to spend quality time with them.

PRAISE THE LORD

Whatever it is, I should (be) taking one step at a time. The prospect looks good from this point of time and I will certainly take the effort to maintain this. Thank you Allah. Thank you Allah.

Pelbagai bentuk soal yang bermain di minda .. bagaimana, bila, di mana.. Bagi saya sendiri, di kebelakangan ini, soalan yang kadangkala menjenguk ke fikiran saya adalah ‘Apa yang aku bawa ke kubur pabila mati nanti..’ It scares me to bit. Dan kenapa soalan ini begitu saya rasa begitu relevan dengan saya adalah :- Kita mampu memiliki segalanya yang kita hendak dan idamkan ketika hidup di dunia samada diberi, dibeli, didapati dan lain-lain. Sama ada ia berbentuk material, atau bukan material seperti pencapaian, kemenangan mahupun penghormatan. Saya bukan perfect, bukan sempurna, banyak cacat-celanya.. Ini cuma peringatan kepada diri sendiri dan sahabat handai yang sedang membaca tulisan saya yang tak seberapa ni.. Tidak salah untuk beringat..

Saya hanya kagum dengan golongan yang begitu sarat kehidupannya dengan material..Seolah itu lah ultimate nya.. Seolah itu lah segala-galanya. Alhamdulillah saya tidak ke tahap itu, namun masih banyak yang perlu diperbetulkan dan diperhalusi. Beg mahal lagi branded, pakaian yang serba canggih dan juga mahal, dan segala apalah yang sangat materialistik memang tiada tempat di hati saya. Tapi jika keperluan untuk memiliki sesuata ada (dan mampu), dan tiada salahnya. Cuma jangan membazir dah..

Daripada orang yang kaya-raya dan memiliki berpuluh-puluh kereta, berjuta-juta ringgit dan pakaian yang mahal tapi tidak seminit pun dalam kehidupan sehariannya dia beringat tentang kehidupan ‘seterusnya’, lebih baik lagi yang duduk di rumah kampung, yang tidak memiliki banyak harta benda tetapi kerap kali beringat tentang kehidupan ‘seterusnya’ itu. .. dan dari kesedaran ini dapat dipupuk sikap,perangai dan amalan yang lebih baik dari dulu. Kita bukan robot dan sesuatu perubahan itu tidak boleh dibuat secara mendadak. Perlu diikhlaskan hati sebelum melakukan sesuatu..

Saya bukan seorang puitis, penyair atau penulis karya.. Tidak reti saya untuk bermadah di sini. Sekadar apa yang baru ditulis ini.. Jangan malu untuk bertanyakan diri sendiri soalan-soalan yang disebut tadi.. Dan kita tidak perlu takut dengan kematian. Setiap orang akan melalui perjalan yang sama.. Apa yang membezakan setiap kita bukanlah pendapatan bulanan kita..bukan juga jenis kereta yang dipandu..atau sebarang pencapaian duniawi kita..Apa yang akan diambil perkiraan di akhir nanti adalah amalan kita..Wahai rakan-rakanku, fikir-fikirkanlah..Dalam kehidupan seharian kita perlu mencerminkan diri kita.. Siapa lagi kalau bukan kita. Cermin diri sendiri dan tanya, adakah hidup anda sempurna..? Jika tidak, apa lagi yang tidak sempurna..? Apa yang anda mahu di dunia dan untuk bekalan di akhirat..?

We don't realize how naive we are. We think everything is so very tangible when happiness and health are both intangible. You can't buy happiness, you can't buy health..

Hello JeweLztory ! Haven’t updated this blog for a bit. I have been outstation from the main office (work) to the East Coast here in Malaysia and I must say I do enjoy working here ! I get to share my opinion and ideas, and present them to my colleagues. Recently I proposed the idea of conducting an in house research study to analyze the relationship and correlation between medical leaves and productivity, and how these two are interrelated, and how to reduces total number of medical leaves by promoting a healthy lifestyle to all level of workers. Some risk factors to diseases and pathologies are associated with our daily lifestyle and routine which we don’t deem risky and hazardous in the short nor the long term. I will have to wait a bit till I get the approval..! On top of that, I never thought I would ever initiate a research proposal ! The curiosity bug must have caught on me ! haha.   Mean time, life is a notch slower.. Been lazy NOT doing my training and regular workouts ! Have to get back on track soon. 2011 is just around the corner. I AM excited. 2010 had been quite a year for me I can’t describe it in word. I am looking forward for a slower 2011, do less things (anything) but focus on quality. Among the things that I am looking at is improving myself as a person. Quality check and control is important though at times we tend to let it go for a while only to come back and clear the same old mess again. That is one thing I love about new years. It’s natural (and occasional) to set new goals AND reset old goals, for the betterment of our own lives. What about you ?  Any resolutions you want to share?

I am an example of a late entree and never a second do/should  I feel that I am ‘late’. Every person will have his or her own pace. In their career path and journey which they take, getting to know one self is most important. Work should not change you. You on the other hand can seek to ‘find’ and discover yourself. If you have been controlled by others before this, it ain’t the case anymore. Do not be too proud, hold tight those two reins, but don’t forget to loosen up a bit. Guide the way and be the captain. Lead, and do not just follow. Find your rhythm and never worry of rushing anywhere. What do they say about life again ? ‘It’s the journey that count’s.. not the destination’ . As for myself, I would love to make worthwhile. The journey as well as the destination.

I am looking for challenges. Both to overcome them as well as to test myself. Every second in life is a test.  But when it is set as ‘default’ , we become unconscious of it, and choose to live life for granted, taking it as if we have all the time to ‘live’ our life. Make it more special and interesting that’s when you start making your own obstacles and challenges to achieve ! I have a long way to go and this is only the beginning.

A few tips if you just started work :

- be nice, polite and courteous to your colleagues and bosses at all time

- be humble but don’t make yourself look like anyone’s slave. you are working by your own rights !

- networking. this is the best time to overcome any shyness. Talk to colleagues from inside and outside your department. Invite them to lunch . It can appear that you are trying just too hard if you over do it. Balance is key. Talk to your bosses, there is no harm greeting them ‘Good morning’ and asking if they have taken their breakfast. Be sure not to ‘routinize’ your questions !

- Learn. Don’t be shy to ask if you are not sure of anything regarding work. Show that you are sincere and interested to learn so that you can do your work. Your colleagues/bosses will feel that you appreciate their presence. Again, don’t over do it. You have to do your homework too !

Had to arrange for a couple of interviews, something I am getting more familiar with. I did not get enough sleep last night.. in the name of updating the blog and editing photos ! Must have slept for less than 4 hours. After sahur I didn’t sleep. By noon I was already zombied. And today is the first day Jasdeep is not around. He ‘handed over’ before he left, but he was suppose to complete his task before he left !I love challenges, and I took the lack of sleep, loads of tasks and the minus-Jasdeep-day as reasons to prove to myself I can.

I gotta stay back to complete some work as well. Even manage the time to organize an interview. I was [helloo.....im just up..! slept like a rock frm 9.40pm till 5am !!! ]…ok..where was i..?

Well, I stayed back at work till 6.20pm before attending a charity program.Spent the evening with a group of 4-11 year old kids from an orphanage. Such a bliss to have them ! Finished the program around 9pm, headed back and was simply relieved to reach home… I was tired but still manage to write a few lines in the blog before I slept..oh dear…. simply goes to show my body has its limit, that if it has been reached.

I will stop now so I can proceed doing other things. Like sleep ! hahah.. alritey..

My Monday kicked off with a sarcastic and judgmental reply comment by a friend who mistook a question. Anyways, its ok. I am learning to ignore things that are not worthy of annoyance, what more to aggravate it to a higher level. Learn to forgive, can be done. To forget, well, it pretty much depends on the situation. 3-4 years old little incidents can pass like a flash, but its thunder roars deep, echoing away. So let the good vibes get a lot stronger. Learning to disagree is also another trick you may want to learn when facing with a difficult situation or person. I am not the best example in practicing this, but I am trying to better myself each and everyday. It will take time and it certainly will take some dedication and sincerity in putting words into action.

I am looking forward to this week ! Work for 3 days, and come 4th day it’ll be a half day work. Followed by 3 days holiday. And then back to work again. My desk mate won’t be around anymore, so all the best to myself ! heheeh…Other than that, life is at is. Taking one day at a time. God Bless.
